Lily Madeleine Colman is a film-based photographer and educator from Philadelphia, PA. She makes work about womanhood, inheritance, and specifically how certain items and feelings are passed down between generations of women. Lily graduated from RISD with her MFA in 2020. She has always loved photography, education, and photo books, and wanted to make them accessible to everyone.

In 2025 Lily took on the initiative to start her own publishing non-profit, FRAME/SEQUENCE, through fiscal sponsorship with CultureWorks of Philadelphia. FRAME/SEQUENCE is a quarterly print periodical spotlighting underrepresented and emerging photographers, writers, artists, and communities across Philadelphia and Greater Pennsylvania — connecting art, story, and place in a uniquely intimate and enduring form.

Operations Manager

Peter Wight, MPA is a social entrepreneur and public policy professional with over ten years of experience building organizations at the intersection of technology, government, and the nonprofit sector. He is the founder of Public Assembly, a civic engagement platform designed to make grassroots organizing seamless and accessible. Peter also co-founded the Benefit Stakeholder Company, a studio for products that expand collective civic and economic power.

He helped found Frame/Sequence, because he knew too many struggling artists and wanted lower barriers to publishing and to give local photographers and writers new pathways to share their voices and perspectives. He previously served as Director of Special Projects at the Accountability Project, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit focused on criminal justice reform, where he now serves as a board member. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and International Relations and a Master of Public Administration from Clark University, as well as a Certificate in Public Finance from the University of Pennsylvania. His work centers on empowering communities through collective action, democratic innovation, and sustainable systems design.

Sarah Smith Schwartz is a project manager and strategist based in Philadelphia, PA. In 2025, Sarah joined FRAME/SEQUENCE as the digital platform & outreach consultant, bringing a background in user-centered design, strategic communications, and mission-driven project management in innovative research & documentary film. Her work centers on creating digital platforms that support storytelling and building networks that engage new audiences.

At FRAME/SEQUENCE, Sarah develops website strategy and outreach with the intention of expanding readership and amplifying underrepresented voices in Philadelphia arts and culture.

Nate Bergey is a photographer, community organizer, and development strategist based in Philadelphia, PA. In 2025, Nate joined FRAME/SEQUENCE as the social media manager, bringing a background in arts programming, storytelling, and collaborative project building. Their work centers on amplifying diverse voices and fostering networks that share audiences, skills and resources.

At FRAME/SEQUENCE, Nate helps shape the vision for social media audience growth with the intention of elevating artistic voices in Philadelphia and beyond.
